Fire warning system
The fire warning system is independent of the RES system. It consists of two thermal switches,
a heat-sensitive cable section located in the rear fuselage compartment, a 9 V battery, test
button, LED, and buzzer.
The 9 V battery is located on the bottom right side of the binnacle (Figure 4-42) and can be
removed by prying the battery holder with a screwdriver.

NOTE: The 9 V battery must be replaced every two years (as part of the documented
maintenance) or any time it fails a pre-flight test - whichever occurs sooner.
