Thefollowingsymptomsmayoccur
duringnormalvehicleoperation:
• TheEPSwarninglightdoesnot
illuminate.
• Thesteeringeffortishigh
immediatelyafterturningthe
ignitionswitchon.Thishappens
asthesystemperformstheEPS
systemdiagnostics.Whenthe
diagnosticsiscompleted,the
steeringwheelwillreturntoits
normalcondition.
• Aclicknoisemaybeheardfrom
theEPSrelayaftertheignition
switchisturnedtotheONorLOCK
position.
• Motornoisemaybeheardwhen
thevehicleisatastoporatalow
drivingspeed.
• IftheElectricPowerSteering
Systemdoesnotoperate
normally,thewarninglightwill
illuminateontheinstrument
cluster.Thesteeringwheelmay
becomedifficulttocontrolor
operateabnormally.Inthiscase,
havethesysteminspectedbya
professionalworkshop.
