• ALWAYScheckthesurrounding
areasnearyourvehicleforpeople,
especiallychildren,beforeshifting
avehicleintoD(Drive)orR
(Reverse).
• Beforeleavingthedriver’sseat,
alwaysmakesuretheshiftlever
isintheP(Park)position,thenset
theparkingbrake,andplacethe
ignitionswitchintheLOCK/OFF
position.
Unexpectedandsuddenvehicle
movementcanoccurifthese
precautionsarenotfollowed.
• Donotuseenginebraking
(shiftingfromahighgeartolower
gear)rapidlyonslipperyroads.
Thevehiclemayslipcausingan
accident.

• Whenstoppedonaslope,donot
holdthevehiclewithaccelerator

• Thedualclutchtransmissioncan
bethoughtofasanautomatically
shiftingmanualtransmission.It
givesthedrivingfeelofamanual
transmission,yetprovides
theeaseofafullyautomatic
transmission.
• WhenD(Drive)isselected,the
transmissionwillautomatically
