IF THE ENGINE WILL NOT START
If engine doesn’t turn over or turns
over slowly
1.Checkthebatteryconnectionsto
besuretheyarecleanandtight.
2.Turnontheinteriorlight.Ifthe
lightdimsorgoesoutwhenyou
operatethestarter,thebatteryis
discharged.
3.Checkthestarterconnections
tobesuretheyaresecurely
tightened.
4.Donotpushorpullthevehicleto
startit.Seeinstructionsfor“Jump
starting”.
WARNING
Iftheenginewillnotstart,donot
pushorpullthevehicletostartit.
Thiscouldresultinacollisionor
causeotherdamage.Inaddition,
pushorpullstartingmaycausethe
catalyticconvertertobeoverloaded
andcreateafirehazard.
If engine turns over normally but
does not start
1.Checkthefuellevel.
2.Withtheignitionswitchinthe
LOCKposition,checkallconnectors
attheignitioncoilsandspark
plugs.Reconnectanythatmaybe
disconnectedorloose.
3.Checkthefuellineintheengine
compartment.
4.Iftheenginestilldoesnotstart,
callaprofessionalworkshop.Kia
