therespectiveseatingpositionshall
bereadjustedorentirelyremoved.
AfterselectingaproperChild
RestraintSystemforyourchildand
checkingthattheChildRestraint
Systemfitsproperlyontheseating
position,therearethreegeneral
stepsforaproperinstallation:
• Properly secure the Child
Restraint System to the vehicle.
AllChildRestraintSystems
mustbesecuredtothevehicle
withthelapbeltorlappartof
alap/shoulderbeltorwiththe
ISOFIXtop-tetherand/orISOFIX
anchorageand/orwiththe
supportleg.
• Make sure the Child Restraint
System is firmly secured.After
installingaChildRestraintSystem
tothevehicle,pushandpullthe
seatforwardandfromside-to-
sidetoverifythatitissecurely
attachedtotheseat.AChild
RestraintSystemsecuredwith
aseatbeltshouldbeinstalled
asfirmlyaspossible.However,
someside-to-sidemovement
canbeexpected.Wheninstalling
aChildRestraintSystem,adjust
thevehicleseatandseatback(up
anddown,forwardandrearward)
sothatyourchildfitsintheChild
RestraintSysteminaconfortable
manner.
• Secure the child in the Child
Restraint System.Makesurethe
childisproperlystrappedinthe
ChildRestraintSystemaccording
totheChildRestraintSystem
manufacturer’sinstructions.
CAUTION
AChildRestraintSysteminaclosed
vehiclecanbecomeveryhot.To
preventburns,checktheseating
surfaceandbucklesbeforeplacing
yourchildintheChildRestraint
System.

TheISOFIXsystemholdsaChild
RestraintSystemduringdriving
andinanaccident.Thissystemis
designedtomakeinstallationofthe
ChildRestraintSystemeasierand
reducethepossibilityofimproperly
installingyourChildRestraint
System.TheISOFIXsystem
usesanchorsinthevehicleand
attachmentsontheChildRestraint
System.TheISOFIXsystem
eliminatestheneedtouseseatbelts
tosecuretheChildRestraintSystem
totherearseats.
