Battery saver function
• Thepurposeofthisfeatureis
topreventthebatteryfrom
beingdischarged.Thesystem
automaticallyturnsoffthe
parkinglightswhenthedriver
removestheignitionkey(smart
key:turnsofftheengine)and
opensthedriver-sidedoor.
• Withthisfeature,theparking
lightswillbeturnedoff
automaticallyifthedriverparks
onthesideofroadatnight.
Ifnecessary,tokeepthelightson
whentheignitionkeyisremoved,
(smartkey:turnsofftheengine)
performthefollowing:
1.Openthedriver-sidedoor.
2.TurntheparkinglightsOFFand
ONagainusingthelightswitch
onthesteeringcolumn.
Headlight escort function (if
equipped)
Theheadlights(and/ortaillights)
willremainonforapproximately
5minutesaftertheignitionkeyis
removedwhentheengineisturned
off.However,ifthedriver’sdooris
openedandclosed,theheadlights
areturnedoffafter15seconds.
Theheadlightscanbeturnedoff
bypressingthelockbuttononthe
transmitter(orsmartkey)twiceor
turningoffthelightswitchfromthe
headlightorAutolightposition.
CAUTION
Ifthedrivergetsoutofthevehicle
throughotherdoors(exceptdriver’s
door),thebatterysaverfunction
doesnotoperateandtheheadlight
escortfunctiondoesnotturnoff
automatically.Therefore,Itcauses
thebatterytobedischarged.Inthis
case,makesuretoturnoffthelamp
beforegettingoutofthevehicle.
Headlight welcome function (if
equipped)
Whentheheadlightswitchisinthe
ONorAUTOpositionandalldoors
(andtrunk)areclosedandlocked,if
youpressthedoorunlockbuttonon
thetransmitter(orsmartkey),the
headlightswillcomeonforabout15
seconds.
Iftheheadlightswitchisinthe
AUTOposition,thefunctioncanonly
operateatnight.
Atthistime,ifyoupressthedoor
unlockbuttonagainordoorlock
buttononthetransmitter(orsmart
key),theheadlightswillturnoff
immediately.
