shoulderbeltcancauseserious
injuriesinacrash.Theshoulder
beltshouldbepositionedmidway
overyourshoulderacrossyour
collarbone.
• Neverwearaseatbeltover
fragileobjects.Ifthereisasudden
stoporimpact,theseatbeltcan
damageit.
• Avoidwearingtwistedseatbelts.
Atwistedbeltcan’tdoitsjobas

intoyou.Besurethebeltwebbing
isstraightandnottwisted.

replaceit.

firmlyaspossible,consistentwith
comfort,toprovidetheprotection

Aslackbeltwillgreatlyreducethe
protectionaffordedtothewearer.
Careshouldbetakentoavoid
contaminationofthewebbingwith
polishes,oilsandchemicals,and
particularlybatteryacid.
Cleaningmaysafelybecarriedout
usingmildsoapandwater.The
beltshouldbereplacedifwebbing
becomesfrayed,contaminatedor
damaged.
Itisessentialtoreplacetheentire
assemblyafterithasbeenwornin
asevereimpactevenifdamageto
theassemblyisnotobvious.Belts
shouldnotbewornwithstraps
twisted.Eachbeltassemblymust
