2.Starttheengineorturnthe

3.Movetheshiftlever.
Ifthebrakepedalisrepeatedly
depressedandreleasedwiththe
shiftleverintheP(Park)position,a
chatteringnoise&vibrationnearthe
shiftlevermaybeheard.Thisisa
normalcondition.
WARNING
Alwaysfullydepressthebrakepedal
beforeandwhileshiftingoutof
theP(Park)positionintoanother
positiontoavoidinadvertentmotion
ofthevehiclewhichcouldinjure
personsinoraroundthecar.
Shift-lock override

fromtheP(Park)positioninto
R(Reverse)positionwiththe
brakepedaldepressed,continue
depressingthebrake,thendothe
following:
1.Placetheignitionswitchinthe
LOCK/OFFposition.
2.Applytheparkingbrake.
3.Pressdowntheshiftlockrelease
button.
4.Movetheshiftlever.
5.Havethesysteminspectedby
aprofessionalworkshop.Kia

• Nevertakethecaroutofgear
