sparetiretakesuplessspacethana
regular-sizetire.Thistireissmaller
thanaconventionaltireandis
designedfortemporaryuseonly.
CAUTION
• Youshoulddrivecarefullywhen
thecompactspareisinuse.The
compactspareshouldbereplaced
bytheproperconventionaltire
andrimatthefirstopportunity.
• Theoperationofthisvehicleisnot
recommendedwithmorethanone
compactsparetireinuseatthe
sametime.
WARNING
Thecompactsparetireisfor
emergencyuseonly.Donotoperate
yourvehicleonthiscompactspare
atthespeedover80km/h(50mph).
Theoriginaltireshouldberepaired
orreplacedassoonaspossibleto
avoidfailureofthesparepossibly
leadingtopersonalinjuryordeath.
Thecompactspareshouldbe
inflatedto420kPa(60psi).
CAUTION
Checktheinflationpressureafter
installingthesparetire.Adjustitto
thespecifiedpressure,asnecessary.
Whenusingacompactsparetire,
observethefollowingprecautions:
• Undernocircumstancesshould
youexceed80km/h(50mph);a
higherspeedcoulddamagethe
tire.
• Ensurethatyoudriveslowly
enoughtoavoidallhazards.Any
roadhazard,suchasapotholeor
debris,couldseriouslydamagethe
compactspare.
• Anycontinuousroaduseofthis
tirecouldresultintirefailure,loss
ofvehiclecontrol,andpossible
personalinjury.
• Donotexceedthevehicle’s
maximumloadratingortheload-
carryingcapacityshownonthe
sidewallofthecompactsparetire.
• Avoiddrivingoverobstacles.The
compactsparetirediameteris
smallerthanthediameterofa
conventionaltireandreducesthe
groundclearanceapproximately
2.5cm(1inch),whichcouldresult
indamagetothevehicle.
• Donottakethevehiclethrough
anautomaticcarwashwhilethe
compactsparetireisinstalled.
• Donotusetirechainsonthe
temporarycompacttire.Because
