alwayswearseatbeltsproperly.
NOTICE
• Pre-tensionersequippedatthe
frontandrearoutboardseating
positionswillbeactivatedin
certaincollisions.Thepre-
tensionerseatbeltscanbe
activated,wherethecollisionis
severeenough,togetherwiththe
airbags.
• Whenthepre-tensionerseat
beltsareactivated,aloudnoise
maybeheardandfinedust,
whichmayappeartobesmoke,
maybevisibleinthepassenger
compartment.Thesearenormal
operatingconditionsandarenot
hazardous.
• Althoughitisharmless,thefine
dustmaycauseskinirritation
andshouldnotbebreathed
forprolongedperiods.Washall
exposedskinareasthoroughly
afteranaccidentinwhichthe
pre-tensionerseatbeltswere
activated.
• Becausethesensorthatactivates
theSRSairbagisconnected
withthepre-tensionerseatbelt,
theSRSairbagwarninglight
ontheinstrumentpanelwill
illuminateforapproximately6
secondsaftertheignitionswitch
hasbeenturnedtotheON
position,andthenitshouldturn
off.
CAUTION
Ifthepre-tensionerseatbeltis
notworkingproperly,theSRSair
bagwarninglightwillilluminate
evenifthereisnomalfunctionof
theSRSairbag.IftheSRSairbag
warninglightdoesnotilluminate
whentheignitionkeyisturnedto
ON,orifitremainsilluminatedafter
illuminatingforapproximately6
seconds,orifitilluminateswhile
thevehicleisbeingdriven,havethe
systeminspectedbyaprofessional
workshop.Kiarecommendstovisit
anauthorizedKiadealer/service
partner.
WARNING

activation,pre-tensionerseat
beltsmustbereplaced.Allseat
belts,ofanytype,shouldalways
bereplacedaftertheyhavebeen
