feetonthefloor.Ifoccupantsare
tooclosetotheairbagcovers,
theycouldbeinjurediftheair
bagsinflate.
• Do not attach or place objects on
or near the air bag covers.Any
objectattachedtoorplacedon
thefrontorsideairbagcovers
couldinterferewiththeproper
operationoftheairbags.
• Do not modify the front seats.
Modificationofthefrontseats
couldinterferewiththeoperation
ofthesupplementalrestraint
systemsensingcomponentsor
sideairbags.
• Do not place items under the front
seats.Placingitemsunderthe
frontseatscouldinterferewith
theoperationofthesupplemental
restraintsystemsensing
componentsandwiringharnesses.
• Never hold an infant or child on
your lap.Theinfantorchildcould
beseriouslyinjuredorkilledin
theeventofacrash.Allinfants
andchildrenshouldbeproperly
restrainedinappropriatechild
safetyseatsorseatbeltsinthe
rearseat.
WARNING
• Sittingimproperlyoroutof
positioncancauseoccupantstobe
shiftedtooclosetoadeployingair
bag,striketheinteriorstructure
orbethrownfromthevehicle
resultinginseriousinjuryordeath.
• Alwayssituprightwiththe
seatbackinanuprightposition,
centeredontheseatcushion
withyourseatbelton,legs
comfortablyextendedandyour
feetonthefloor.
Adding equipment to or modifying
your air bag-equipped vehicle
Ifyoumodifyyourvehicleby
changingyourvehicle’sframe,
bumpersystem,frontendorside
sheetmetalorrideheight,thismay
affecttheoperationofyourvehicle’s
airbagsystem.
