4-2.5.4 Cylinders Close Coupled Using Pilot Nitrogen Pressure
For cylinders close coupled using nitrogen pressure from one pilot nitrogen cylinder from one
to fifteen slave cylinder sets can be actuated from one pilot nitrogen cylinder using pressure
operated control heads on the nitrogen driver cylinders. See Figure 4-8.
Slave operation will be through a 1/4-inch Schedule 40 steel pipe actuator line having the
following limitations:
• Maximum length between the nitrogen cylinder and the first HFC-227ea cylinder is 320 ft
(97.5 m).
• Maximum quantity of flexible actuation hoses is fifteen (one at the nitrogen cylinder and
one at each HFC-227ea cylinder).
• All HFC-227ea cylinders must be located adjacent to one another.
