A. CP3003-HDD Module
A.1 Overview
The CP3003-HDD module has been designed to include various ports on the front panel such
as two DisplayPort connectors, one Gigabit Ethernet port, one USB 3.0 port, and one COM port
as well as onboard interfaces such as one onboard SATA interface, one CFast card socket,
and a battery socket. The battery socket on the CP3003-HDD module has the same function
as the battery socket on the CP3003-SA.
The CP3003-HDD module expands the CP3003-SA board from 4 HP to 8 HP. As a further ex-
tension capability of the CP3003-SA to 12 HP, a SATA adapter module is available for use in
conjunction with the CP3003-HDD module to provide an additional SATA connector for a 2.5"
SATA HDD/SSD device. The 12 HP CP3003-SA does not provide a CFast card socket.
The CP3003-HDD connects to the CP3003-SA via the high-speed I/O extension connector J9
and to the SATA adapter module via the high-speed I/O extension connector J4.
A.2 Technical Specifications
Note ...
If a CP3003-HDD module is used on the CP3003-SA, either the CP3003-SA
or the CP3003-HDD module may be equipped with a battery.
Using one battery on the CP3003-SA and one on the CP3003-HDD module
simultaneously may result in premature discharge of the batteries.
Note ...
If the CP3003-HDD module is mounted on the CP3003-SA, the SATA Flash
module/Smart Extension Module cannot be used with the CP3003-SA.
