A.6.3 USB Interface
The CP3003-HDD provides one standard USB 3.0 port on J7. The USB 3.0 port is super-
speed, high-speed, full-speed, and low-speed capable. USB 3.0 allows data transfers of up to
5 Gb/s.
One USB peripheral may be connected to each port. To connect more USB devices than there
are available ports, an external hub is required.
A.6.4 Serial Port
One PC-compatible, serial RS-232 port (COMA) is available, which is fully compatible with the
16C550 controller. This port includes a complete set of handshaking and modem control
signals. Data transfer rates up to 115.2 kB/s are supported. The serial port is implemented as
a 8-pin RJ-45 connector, J8.

The CP3003-HDD host interfaces can be used with maximum 900 mA continu-
ous load current as specified in the Universal Serial Bus Specification, Revision
3.0. Short-circuit protection is provided. All the signal lines are EMI-filtered.
