2.8.2 SATA Flash Module (Optional)
The 4 HP CP3003-SA supports up to 32 GB flash memory in combination with an optional
SATA Flash module, which is connected to the onboard connector J12. The SATA Flash
module cannot be used in conjunction with the Smart Extension Module, the CP3003-HDD
module or the CP3003-XMC module.
The SATA Flash module is an SLC-based SATA NAND flash drive with a built-in full hard-disk
emulation and a high data transfer rate (sustained read rate with up to 60 MB/s and sustained
write rate with up to 55 MB/s). It is optimized for embedded systems providing high perfor-
mance, reliability and security.
2.9 8 HP Extension Module
The CP3003-SA can accommodate an optional 8 HP extension module, the CP3003-HDD or the
CP3003-XMC module. Support for the CP3003-HDD is provided via the 120-pin high-speed I/O
extension connector J14. Support for the CP3003-XMC is provided via the 60-pin high-speed
PCI Express extension connector J8. These modules cannot be used in conjunction with the
SATA Flash module or the Smart Extension Module.

2.10 Trusted Platform Module 1.2
The CP3003-SA has been designed to support the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2, a se-
curity chip specifically designed to provide enhanced hardware- and software-based data and
system security. TPM 1.2 stores sensitive data such as encryption and signature keys, certifi-
cates and passwords, and is able to withstand software attacks to protect the stored informa-
tion.

• TCG 1.2 compliant Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
• Security architecture based on the Atmel AT97SC3204 security controller
• EEPROM for TCG firmware enhancements and for user data and keys
• Advanced Crypto Engine (ACE) with RSA support up to 2048-bit key length
• Hardware accelerator for SHA-1 hash algorithm
• True Random Number Generator (TRNG)
• Tick counter with tamper detection
• Protection against Dictionary Attack
• Intel® Trusted Execution Technology Support
• Full personalization with Endorsement Key (EK) and EK certificate
