Insert the heavy
and the light phase
and dip the ring
into the light phase
Add the heavy phase
and carefully overlay
it with the light phase,
best done by running
it down the vessel
side from a pipette.
Move the sample
vessel upwards until
the ring is completely
immersed in the light
phase. The heavy
phase must not come
into contact with the
ring!
Taring
automatic
Taring the ring in the light phase
Searching
automatic
Searches for the surface: the
liquid is moved upwards until the
probe “jump“ is registered.
Measuring
Displays the
measured value
automatic
Records the measured value:
The sample vessel containing the
liquid moves up until a maximum
force is registered. The vessel is
moved back downwards; the
value of the maximum force is
now determined exactly.
