4.7 Suspending the measuring probes

Application of force at the measuring probe and the ring in particular easily deforms
the probe and makes it useless.
When removing the measuring probe from the socket allow it to slide gently into
your open hand. Only grip the shaft of the measuring probe.

Check from time to time if the measuring probes are in proper shape. Read the
instructions on pages 90 f.
Grip the shaft of the measuring probe and slide it under the clamp of the measuring
probe holder as far as it will go.

The force sensor is locked as long as no measurement is running. The force sensor
must never be unlocked when attaching or removing a probe. This can lead to
damage which requires an exchange of the force sensor.
