4.5.2 Moving the sample platform using the rotary knob
To raise the sample stage: Turn the rotary knob clockwise (in the
Up
direction).
To lower the sample stage: Turn the rotary knob anticlockwise (in the
Down
direction).

The amount of deflection determines the speed of movement.
4.5.3 Saving and activating standard sample platform positions
Saving
1. Move to the required upper position of the sample platform using the rotary knob.
2. Press the
key for about 2 seconds.
3. Move to the required lower position of the sample platform using the rotary knob.
4. Press the
key for about 2 seconds.

The arrows do not indicate the direction of movement. For example, when the
sample table is below the lower standard position, pressing the
key
initiates an
upward movement.
