The Laborie Virtual Instructor Program
Laborie’s Virtual Instructor Program (VIP) can help you to perform investigations with greater ease. Figure1-8
presents an example of VIP in the Measurement module.

VIP provides you with step-by-step instructions to do the following:

Pair and activate the pH capsule
•
Insert and attach the pH capsule into the patient and start recording
•
Stop recording and transfer the measured data
•
Enter the diary
During recording, the alpHaONE stores all measured data in its internal memory. When recording is completed, the
dataitcontainswillautomaticallytransfertothecomputer.YouthencanusetheAnalysismoduletoanalyzethe
results and graphs. If the patient diary is completed, you can print the investigation report.
The Laborie Assistant
The Laborie assistant (Figure1-9)isanintelligentassistantthatcangiveyouadvice,asyouprefer.Youcancongure
the behavior of the assistant in the Database module, or you can turn off the assistant altogether.
