IMPORTANT
•
Topreventthecapsulefromfallingoutofthedeviceduringunpackaging,holdthecapsulebythe
releasing device when removing the delivery system.

Ensure that you do notremovethecapsulebreakerwhenremovingthepHcapsulefromitspackaging;
otherwise, the ensuing signal search preparation stage will fail.
•
Donottouchthesensorwhenremovingthedeliverysystemfromitspakaging.
IMPORTANT
Do not pair two pH capsules within 100 meters of each other. The capsules emitted signals will interfere
with each other and the recorder will fail to receive data.
Pairing the Capsule with the alpHaONE Recorder
CAUTION
Be sure to wear disposable medical gloves to avoid contamination of the capsule during pairing.
 NOTE
For the system to function properly, the pH capsules must be paired with the alpHaONE recorder before
commencing monitoring.
1. Ensure that all pH data in the alpHaONE recorder has been downloaded to a computer before pairing it with a
capsule;otherwise,anewstudyisnotallowedunlessyouperformthefactoryresetprocedure.
CAUTION
Anystudydataintherecorderatthetimeofpairingwillbecompletelyclearedandcannotberestoredafter
anewstudyisstarted.Thesystemwilldisplaythefollowingmessage,askingyoutoconrmthatyouare
ready to proceed with pairing:

IMPORTANT
Topreventinterference,keepthebreakeratleasttwometersawayfromtheconveyer.Ifaprocedureis
delayed,youcanplacethebreakeragaintoreturnittoaninactivestateuntilneeded.Don’tdiscardthe
breakeruntilaftertheprocedureisperformed.
