Appendix B: Handling Procedure for the
Delivery System
Following is the procedure to use in the event that the delivery system cannot be withdrawn from the patient after the
capsulehasbeenxedtotheesophagealwall.
1. Disassemble the device by unscrewing the end of the operation handle, as illustrated here:
2. Pull apart the two halves of the operation handle casing, as shown in the following illustration:
3. Slidebackthesecondandthirdbuckletowardtheendoftheoperationhandlewithaminimumof1cm,as
shown here:
1 cm
This will release the capsule and allow the removal of the delivery system.
