11.5 Tractor/plough pull line
The tractor/plough pull line must be set us-
ing the inner screw (2) so that there is no
side pull.
Tractor pulls towards the ploughed land:
Turn the screw (2) to increase its length.
Tractor pulls towards the unploughed
land:
Turn the screw (2) to reduce its length.
11.6 Working depth
The working depth is adjusted using the hydraulic system and the depth wheel on
the plough, see «Working depth adjustment, page 81». For information on adjust-
ing the hydraulic system, see the operating instructions from the relevant tractor
manufacturer. In all cases, switch the hydraulic system to draft control or mixed
control.
The depth wheel on the plough only acts as a depth control wheel which prevents
the plough from working too deep.
To prevent excessive slippage, transfer as much of the plough’s weight as possi-
ble to the tractor. Excessive slippage results in premature tyre wear and increases
fuel consumption.
