Step1.Carefullylaytheserverdownonitsside.
Step2.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage184).
Step3.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage189).
Step4.Removethefancageassembly(see“Removingthefancageassembly”onpage272).
Step5.Standtheserverbackupinitsverticalposition.
Step6.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheUSBcableandlightpathdiagnostics
assemblytoanyunpaintedmetalsurfaceontheserver;then,removetheassemblyfromthe
package.
