.Afteryouhaverecoveredthefirmwareintheprimarybank,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Restarttheserver.
Step2.WhenthepromptPressF3torestoretoprimaryisdisplayed,pressF3tostarttheserverfrom
theprimarybank.
Nx-bootfailure
Configurationchanges,suchasaddeddevicesoradapterfirmwareupdates,andfirmwareorapplication
codeproblemscancausetheservertofailPOST(thepower-onself-test).
Ifthisoccurs,theserverrespondsineitherofthefollowingways:
•TheserverrestartsautomaticallyandattemptsPOSTagain.
•Theserverstopsresponding,andyoumustmanuallyrestarttheserverfortheservertoattemptPOST
again.
Afteraspecifiednumberofconsecutiveattempts(automaticormanual),theNx-bootfailurefeaturecauses
theservertoreverttothedefaultUEFIconfigurationandstarttheSetupUtilitysothatyoucanmakethe
necessarycorrectionstotheconfigurationandrestarttheserver.Iftheserverisunabletosuccessfully
completePOSTwiththedefaultconfiguration,theremightbeaproblemwiththesystemboard.
TospecifythenumberofconsecutiverestartattemptsthatwilltriggertheNx-bootfailurefeature,inthe
SetupUtility,clickSystemSettings➙Recovery➙POSTAttempts➙POSTAttemptsLimit.The
availableoptionsare3,6,9,and255(disableNx-bootfailure).
