Step17.Removethesocketcoversfromthemicroprocessorsocketsonthenewsystemboardandplace
themonthemicroprocessorsocketsoftheoldsystemboardthatyouareremoving.

packagingmaterialsforshippingthataresuppliedtoyou.
Attention:Makesuretoplacethesocketcoversforthemicroprocessorsocketsonthesystem

Important:
1.Whenyoureassemblethecomponentsintheserver,besuretorouteallcablescarefullysothattheyare
notexposedtoexcessivepressure.
2.Whenyoureplacethesystemboard,youmusteitherupdatetheserverwiththelatestfirmwareor
restorethepre-existingfirmwarefromadisketteorCDimage.Makesurethatyouhavethelatest
firmwareoracopyofthepre-existingfirmwarebeforeyouproceed.See“Updatingthefirmware”on
page33
,“UpdatingtheUniversalUniqueIdentifier(UUID)”onpage47,and“UpdatingtheDMI/SMBIOS

3.Whenyoureplacethesystemboard,makesurethatyouremovetheIntegratedManagementModule
