Step5.Ifyouareinstallingahot-swappowersupplyintoanemptybay,removethepower-supplyfiller
fromthepower-supplybay.

Step6.Graspthehandleontherearofthepowersupplyandslidethepowersupplyforwardintothe
power-supplybayuntilitclicks.Makesurethatthepowersupplyconnectsfirmlyintothe
power-supplyconnector.
Step7.Routethepowercordthroughthehandleandcabletieifany,sothatitdoesnotaccidentally
becomeunplugged.
Step8.Connecttheotherendsofthedcpowercabletothedcpowersource.Cutthewirestothecorrect
length,butdonotcutthemshorterthan150mm(6inches).Ifthepowersourcerequiresring
terminals,youmustuseacrimpingtooltoinstalltheringterminalstothepowercordwires.The
ringterminalsmustbeULapprovedandmustaccommodatethewiresthataredescribedabove.
Theminimumnominalthreaddiameterofapillarorstudtypeofterminalmustbe4mm;forascrew
typeofterminalthediametermustbe5.0mm.
Step9.Turnonthecircuitbreakerforthedcpowersourcetowhichthenewpowersupplyisconnected.
Step10.MakesurethatthegreenpowerLEDsonthepowersupplyarelit,indicatingthatthepowersupply
isoperatingcorrectly.
Step11.Ifyouarereplacingapowersupplytotheserver,attachtheredundantpowerinformationlabelthat
comeswiththisoptionontheservercovernearthepowersupplies.
