Removingthemediacage
Usethisinformationtoremovethemediacage.
Toremovethemediacage(alsoknownasthefrontI/Ocage),completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginson“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”on
page116.
Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectallpowercords;then,removethe
cover(see“Removingthecover”onpage119).
Step3.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage122).
Step4.Disconnectthecablesthatmaybeattachedtothesystemboard.ThismayincludetheDVD
drive,frontUSBconnectorassembly,frontvideoconnectorassembly,operatorinformationpanel
assembly,orLCDoperatingpanelassemblycables.Afterdisconnectingthecables,slightlyliftthe
releaselatch;then,carefullypushthemediacageoutofthechassisandsetitaside.

•Rememberthecableroutingbeforedisconnectingthecablesfromthesystemboard.
