Therearefourtypesofreplaceablecomponents.
•Structuralparts:Purchaseandreplacementofstructuralparts(components,suchaschassisassembly,
topcover,andbezel)isyourresponsibility.IfLenovoacquiresorinstallsastructuralcomponentat
yourrequest,youwillbechargedfortheservice.
•Consumableparts:Purchaseandreplacementofconsumablepartsisyourresponsibility.IfLenovo
acquiresorinstallsaconsumablecomponentatyourrequest,youwillbechargedfortheservice.
•Tier1customerreplaceableunit(CRU):ReplacementofTier1CRUsisyourresponsibility.IfLenovo
installsaTier1CRUatyourrequest,youwillbechargedfortheinstallation.
•Tier2customerreplaceableunit:YoumayinstallaTier2CRUyourselforrequestLenovotoinstallit,at
noadditionalcharge,underthetypeofwarrantyservicethatisdesignatedforyourserver.

Important:Tohelpensurethatthedevicesthatyouinstallworkcorrectlyanddonotintroduceproblems,
observethefollowingprecautions:
1.Makesurethattheserverandtheinstalledfirmwarelevelssupportthedevicesthatyouareinstalling.
Ifnecessary,updatetheUEFIandIMMfirmwareandanyotherfirmwarethatisstoredonthesystem
