Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectallpowercords.
Step3.Removethecover(see“Removingthecover”onpage119).
Step4.InstalltheadapterinthenewPCIriser-cardassembly(see“Replacinganadapter”onpage178).
Step5.Setanyjumpersorswitchesontheadapterasdirectedbytheadaptermanufacturer.
Step6.RemovethePCIfillerpanel,ifoneispresent,fromtherearoftheserver.
Step7.AlignthePCIriser-cardassemblywiththePCIriserconnectoronthesystemboard;then,press
downfirmlyuntilthePCIriser-cardassemblyisseatedcorrectlyintheconnectoronthesystem
board.
Note:Whentherear2.5-inchhot-swap-drivekitisused,onlythePCIriser-cardassemblywithone
x8orx16low-profileslotcanbeusedforconnector2onthesystemboard.
