ToaccesstheWebinterfacetousetheremotepresencefeature,youneedtheIPaddressorhostnameof
theIMM.YoucanobtaintheIMMIPaddressthroughtheSetupUtilityandyoucanobtaintheIMMhost
namefromtheIMMnetworkaccesstag.
TheservercomeswithadefaultIPaddressfortheIMMof192.168.70.125.
ToobtaintheIPaddress,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Turnofftheserver.
Note:Approximately20secondsaftertheserverisconnectedtopower,thepower-controlbutton
becomesactive.
Step2.Whentheprompt<F1>Setupisdisplayed,pressF1.(Thispromptisdisplayedonthescreenfor
onlyafewseconds.YoumustpressF1quickly.)Ifyouhavesetbothapower-onpasswordand
anadministratorpassword,youmusttypetheadministratorpasswordtoaccessthefullSetup
Utilitymenu.
Step3.FromtheSetupUtilitymainmenu,selectSystemSettings.
Step4.Onthenextscreen,selectIntegratedManagementModule.
Step5.Onthenextscreen,selectNetworkConfiguration.
Step6.FindtheIPaddressandwriteitdown.
Step7.ExitfromtheSetupUtility.
LoggingontotheWebinterface
UsethisinformationtologontotheWebinterface.
TologontotheIMMWebinterface,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Onasystemthatisconnectedtotheserver,openaWebbrowser.IntheAddressorURLfield,
typetheIPaddressorhostnameoftheIMMtowhichyouwanttoconnect.
Note:IfyouareloggingontotheIMMforthefirsttimeafterinstallation,theIMMdefaultsto
DHCP.IfaDHCPhostisnotavailable,theIMMassignsastaticIPaddressof192.168.70.125.
TheIMMnetworkaccesstagprovidesthedefaulthostnameoftheIMManddoesnotrequire
youtostarttheserver.
Step2.OntheLoginpage,typetheusernameandpassword.IfyouareusingtheIMMforthefirsttime,
youcanobtaintheusernameandpasswordfromyoursystemadministrator.Allloginattemptsare
documentedinthesystem-eventlog.
Note:TheIMMissetinitiallywithausernameofUSERIDandpasswordofPASSW0RD(witha
zero,nottheletterO).Youhaveread/writeaccess.Youmustchangethedefaultpasswordthe
firsttimeyoulogon.
Step3.ClickLogintostartthesession.TheSystemStatusandHealthpageprovidesaquickview
ofthesystemstatus.
Note:IfyouboottotheoperatingsystemwhileintheIMMGUIandthemessageBootingOSorin
unsupportedOSisdisplayedunderSystemStatus➙SystemState,disableWindows2008or2012firewall
ortypethefollowingcommandintheWindows2008or2012console.Thismightalsoaffectblue-screen
capturefeatures.

Bydefault,theicmppacketisblockedbyWindowsfirewall.TheIMMGUIwillthenchangeto“OSbooted”
