After you finish
1. Connect the signal and power cables to the drive assembly. See Chapter 6 “Internal cable routing” on
page 145
.
2. Complete the parts replacement. See
“Complete the parts replacement” on page 143.
3. Check the drive activity LED on the front of the server to verify if the drives are operating correctly. See
“Front view” on page 11 .
4. Use the Lenovo XClarity Provisioning Manager Lite to configure the RAID if necessary. For more

Remove the drive cage (bay 3)
Follow instructions in this section to remove the bay 3 drive cage.

CAUTION:
The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the
electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To
remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the
power source.
