Attention:
•Microprocessorsaretoberemovedonlybytrainedtechnicians.
•Beextremelycareful,thepinsonthesocketarefragile.Anydamagetothepinsmayrequirereplacing
thesystemboard.
•Donotallowthethermalgreaseonthemicroprocessorandheatsinktocomeincontactwithanything.
•Removingtheheatsinkfromthemicroprocessordestroystheevendistributionofthethermalgreaseand
requiresreplacingthethermalgrease.
•Donottouchthemicroprocessorcontacts;handlethemicroprocessorbytheedgesonly.Contaminants
onthemicroprocessorcontacts,suchasoilfromyourskin,cancauseconnectionfailuresbetween
thecontactsandthesocket.
•Usethemicroprocessorinstallationtoolthatcamewiththenewmicroprocessortoremoveandinstallthe
microprocessor.Failuretousethemicroprocessortoolmaycausedamagetothepinsonthesocket.
Anydamagetothepinsmayrequirereplacingthesystemboard.
