Removingtheairbaffle
Usethisinformationtoremovetheairbafflefromtheserver.
Whenyouworkwithsomeoptionaldevices,youmustfirstremovetheairbaffletoaccesssomecomponents
orconnectorsonthesystemboard.Thefollowingillustrationshowshowtoremovetheairbaffle.
Toremovetheairbaffle,completethefollowingsteps:
Step1.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginsonpage“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”
onpage30
.
Step2.Turnofftheserver(see“Turningofftheserver”onpage19)andallattachedperipheraldevices.
Disconnectallpowercords;then,disconnectallexternalcablesfromtheserver.
Step3.Removethetopcover(see“Removingtheservertopcover”onpage32).
Step4.Rotatethehot-swaprearharddiskdrivecageup(see“Rotatingthehot-swaprearharddisk
drivecageup”onpage34

Step5.Graspthetopoftheairbaffleandliftitoutoftheserver.
Attention:Forpropercoolingandairflow,replacetheairbafflebeforeyouturnontheserver.
Operatingtheserverwiththeairbaffleremovedmightdamageservercomponents.
