1.RuntheSetuputility(see“UsingtheSetuputility”onpage87).
2.SelectSystemSettings→NetworkorStoragedependingonthetypeofyouradapters.
Note:SelectSystemSettings→AdaptersandUEFIdriversforUEFI2.0(andprior)compliant
adaptersanddriversinstalledintheserver.
3.SelectPleaserefreshthispagefirstandpressEnter.
4.SelectthedevicedriverthatyouwanttoconfigureandpressEnter.
5.Whenyouhavefinishedchangingsettings,pressEsctoexitfromtheprogram;selectSavetosave
thesettingsthatyouhavechanged.
Configuringtheserver
Thefollowingconfigurationprogramscomewiththeserver:
•Setuputility
TheUEFISetupUtilityprogramispartofthebasicinput/outputsystemfirmware.Useittochange
interruptrequest(IRQ)settings,changethestartup-devicesequence,setthedateandtime,andset

•BootManagerprogram
TheBootManagerprogramispartoftheserverfirmware.Useittooverridethestartupsequencethat
issetintheSetuputilityandtemporarilyassignadevicetobefirstinthestartupsequence.Formore

•ServerGuideSetupandInstallationCD
TheServerGuideprogramprovidessoftware-setuptoolsandinstallationtoolsthataredesignedforthe
server.UsethisCDduringtheinstallationoftheservertoconfigurebasichardwarefeatures,suchasan
integratedSAS/SATAcontrollerwithRAIDcapabilities,andtosimplifytheinstallationofyouroperating

FastSetupisano-costsoftwaretoolthathelpssimplifythemaintenanceanddeployment
ofselectedBladeCenterchassis,servers,andcomponents.Theintuitivegraphicalinterface
initializesallphasesofserversetup,includingdiscovery,update,andconfiguration.Features
includetemplatesthatenablereplicationofsettingstomanyserversandautomationthat
reduceshands-ontimeandusererrors.Wizardsandotherdefaultsettingsenablecustomization
capabilities.Thelow-touch,set-onceandwalk-awayfeaturereducesthehands-onserversetup
