Usethisinformationtoinstallafrontfanintotheserver.
Forpropercooling,theserverrequiresthatallfansinthesystembeoperatingatalltimes.
Attention:Toensureproperserveroperation,ifafanfails,replacethefanimmediately.

Toinstallafrontfan,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthenewfantoanyunpaintedmetalsurfaceon
theserver.Then,removethenewfanfromthepackage.
Step2.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginsonpage“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”
onpage30.
Step3.Turnofftheserver(see“Turningofftheserver”onpage19)andallattachedperipheraldevices.
Disconnectallpowercords;then,disconnectallexternalcablesfromtheserver.
