Toinstallorreplaceafrontfan,completethefollowingsteps
1.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthenewfantoanyunpaintedmetalsurfaceonthe
server.Then,removethenewfanfromthepackage.
2.Pullupthebluehandleonthefancage.
3.Orientthefansothatthefancablepointstothesystemboard.
4.Lowerthefanintothefanslotintheserverandensurethatisitseatedcorrectly.
5.Connectthefancabletotheconnectoronthesystemboard.(See“System-boardinternalconnectors”
onpage23).
6.Insertthefancableintothecableretainerclip.
7.Returnthebluehandlebacktoitshorizontalposition.
