Step2.Turnofftheserver(see“Turningofftheserver”onpage19)andallattachedperipheraldevices.
Disconnectallpowercords;then,disconnectallexternalcablesasnecessarytoreplacethedevice.
Step3.Removetheservertopcover(see“Removingtheservertopcover”onpage247).
Step4.Rotatethehot-swaprearharddiskdrivecageup(see“Rotatingthehot-swaprearharddisk
drivecageup”onpage155
).
Step5.RemovethePCIriser-cardassembly(see“RemovingaPCIriser-cardassembly”onpage197).
Step6.Removetheairbaffle(see“Removingtheairbaffle”onpage249).
Step7.CarefullyflipopentheretainingcliponeachendoftheDIMMconnectorandlifttheDIMMfrom
theconnector.
Attention:ToavoidbreakingtheretainingclipsordamagingtheDIMMconnectors,openand
closetheclipsgently.
