Do not close starting air shut-off valve during operation!
Apart from the starting system, the engine air system also supplies the emergency stop
devices and the crankcase oil mist detector.
When the shut-off valve is closed, the air supply of the emergency stop cylinders at the
injection pumps and at the crankcase oil mist detector are shut off, in addition to the starting
air.
Thus the function of 2 safety systems is prevented!
It is absolutely necessary that the starting air supply is always open during engine operation,
to ensure the operational reliability of the engine.
In no case the starting air shut-off valve must be closed during engine operation!
