Ensure that the air admission into the engine room is in order.
Drain the water from the exhaust piping after the turbocharger and check pipe for free
passage.
Check the permanent water drain at the charge air manifold for free passage.
When the engine is cold, a small amount of water may come out as a result of condensation.
Note:
If the amount of water is large, the cause must be traced. Do not start the engine to
avoid the danger of water shocks.
Open the indicator or decompression valves.
Turn the engine by baring gear or rod, for this
If the engine has a clutch:
- Declutch the engine
Carry out starting attemps, until no water is blown out.
Close indicator or decompression valves, engine is ready for commissioning.
