General performance testing
• Ensure that the air admission into the engine room is in order.
• Drain the water from the exhaust piping after the turbocharger and check pipe for free
passage.
• Check the permanent water drain at the charge air manifold for free passage.
When the engine is cold, a small amount of water may come out as a result of condensation.
Note:
If the amount of water is large, the cause must be traced. Do not start the engine to
avoid the danger of water shocks.
• Open the indicator or decompression valves.
• Turn the engine by baring gear or rod, for this
If the engine has a clutch:
- Declutch the engine
• Carry out starting attemps, until no water is blown out.
• Close indicator or decompression valves, engine is ready for commissioning.
