Turbocharger: compressor/turbine
During operation, a fine adhesive dust is deposited on the inner air-carrying parts of the
turbocharger and this can progressively lessen the performance of the compressor. For cleaning the
compressor, see book C.
• Daily cleaning of the compressor end
• For periodic washing of the turbine end see maintenance A5.05.06.
Charge air cooler
• Check the permanent drain of the charge air manifold
If there is water in the charge air manifold, the power is reduced.
• If the quantity of immerging water is not reduced despite the power reduction, check the
charge air cooler for leaks.
