Operating medium: Heavy fuel and distillate fuel
Inspection:
150 operating hours after first commissioning or after basic overhaul, the valve clearance
is to be checked and readjusted, followed by a check after 1,500 operating hours.
Tools:
Turning rod W1 * 2.9100-380
Feeler gauge W2 * 1.9075-3

Note:
The valve clearance shall only be measured with warm engine, i.e. 15 min after the engine
is shut down.
Valve clearance (Fig. 1/S):
Inlet: 0.6 mm
Exhaust: 0.8 mm
Readjust the valve bridge position to the valve spindles before each valve clearance
adjustment, during inspections at intervals or due to works at the valve drive components.
Sequence of operations:
1. Adjust valve bridge.
1.1 Open decompression valves.
1.2 Remove the hoods without damaging the packing.
1.3 Turn the crank shaft in such a manner that the piston of the cylinder to be adjusted is
moved to the ignition dead center position.
