Procedures to follow when connecting the shaft:
• Operator must stop the engine, remove the key before installing the shaft, and stay
away from the machine until all moving components of the machine stop.
• Personal protective equipment (safety shoes and gloves) must be worn.
• PTO shaft on the tractor and grooved pivot on the baler must be cleaned and greased
before installing the shaft. (Figure 3)

• Shaft enclosures must be in place.
• Press on safety spring pins (2) located on the articulation of the shaft seated on tractor
PTO and machine groove pivot, and thrust the shaft articulation into safety pin housings
(1) located on groove shaft (Figure 4) until you hear hard clicking sound. (Figure 5)
Check that the shaft engaged on grooves does not come back off without pressing on
safety spring pins located on the articulations.
• Safety chain must be connected to machine hood cover and any part of the tractor
chassis on tractor side to prevent rotation of shaft articulation enclosure. (Figure 6.)
