1.0 Introduction
When a problem or malfunction occurs, follow these steps.
The sequence below will help isolate the problem and often
permit a quick repair. If further assistance is required, refer to
the applicable section of this manual or call McNeilus Parts
and Service at 888-686-7278.
1.1 Onboard Diagnostics
This vehicle is equipped with onboard diagnostics to help
troubleshoot a problem. The error code LEDs will light up
when there is a problem.
1. To enter the diagnostic mode, press and hold both blank
buttons on the in-cab controls for ve seconds.
2. Depending on the type of error, 1 to 6 LED lights will be
displayed on the in-cab controls above the blank buttons.
3. Use the error code decal that is located on the console
inside the cab to determine what the problem is.
4. Correct the problem with the vehicle before putting it back
into service.
