Replace the switch knobs.
3.6 Machine Operates Automatically, Beeps when Door is Opened
(CVA 2652/2662 Only)
Cause:
Faulty grounding of front fascia.
Remedy:
Note:
The fascia is coated with CleanSteel and is non-conductive. Take
measurements at the outer edge.
1. Use an ohmmeter to measure the resistance between the fascia and the
appliance casing.
2. Loosen the top door hinge.
3. Pull out the hinge recessed part (this usually comes out automatically
when the door is closed and opened).
4. Move the spring back and forth. The spring should press against the
stainless-steel fascia.
5. Tighten the hinge again.
6. Check the resistance again between the fascia and appliance casing.
3.7 Machine Whistles/Twitters/Squeaks during Rinsing or Dispensing
Cause:
Faulty pressure relief valve on steam pump. The noises are developed by the
vibration of the crema valve caused by the pressure relief valve.
Series modification:
Since machine no. 81448900, the pressure relief valve has been replaced by
a 90° (elbow) connection.

Remedy:
1. Remove the pressure relief valve from the steam pump.
2. Replace the sealing ring.
3. Install the 90° connector on the pump in place of the pressure relief valve.
4. Replace the connection hose.
