3.24 “Please Insert Drip Tray” is Displayed (Drip Tray Installed)
Cause:
Contacts dirty, corroded, or coated with film (e.g., dishwasher rinse aid).
Remedy:
Clean and dry the contacts.
Cause:
The spring pressure of the corresponding contacts in the appliance is
insufficient.
Series modification:
Since machine no. 14/65391607, the material of the contact springs in the
housing and on the drip tray has been changed to stainless steel to improve
electrical contact.

instructions, mat. no. 06603101)
Remedy:
Install the new contact springs, following the installation instructions included
in the kit. Make sure that they are connected correctly; see Figure 060-11.
Note:
Units before machine no. 10/65365600 are prototype models and must not
be converted. These models must be scrapped.
Cause:
The connection wires to the contact springs for registering the presence of
the drip tray are interchanged.
During commissioning, the message Please replace drip tray is displayed.
As soon as enough water with sufficient mineral content has flowed into the
drip tray, the presence of the drip tray is registered.
Remedy:
1. Remove the appliance for service; see Section 010-4.1.
2. Remove the side panels.
3. Tilt the appliance onto its back.
Note:
The screws have different lengths. Take care to note where the longer
screws are installed to avoid damage to the housing during reassembly.
4. Remove the base plate (Figure 060-6).
