Chapter 5 Preparation for Programming
5-11
5. Move all
axes of the
front gantry to
their home
positions.
There are two
ways to move
all axes of the
gantry to their
home
positions.
1) Using the
Door button
After the
system has
been normally
initialized, the
door button
lamp on the
front panel of
the system
continues to
blink. Press
the DOOR
button and all
axes of the
gantry will
move to their
home positions and the Door button lamp will go off.
In case of Mx100/200, X and Y axes of the gantry move
forward/backward and left/right for homing. This motion is normal in
the process of linear motor setting and the gantry moves to the home
position after this motion is completed.
After gantry homing, the Z axis of each head moves to 25mm and then
to the minus limit by the spring force after servo off. Then, the Z-axis
moves to the stand-by position after servo on. This is normal motion to
expect probable damage of nozzle and head. Where an error is
detected in this process, the machine would not automatically go
servo-on state so that the operator should manually do servo on.
If such an error is found, carefully push or pull the machine while
monitoring the head position and contact the C/S to take proper
measures.
2) Using the System Setup Program:
Move all axes of the gantry to their home positions according to the
following procedure:
(1) Double click (System Setup icon) on the Windows
background screen.
(2) The System Setup (also called Msetup) program runs.
(3) Click All Axes of the Home menu.
(4) The Home Searching dialog box appears.
(5) Choose All Axes from the Searching Axis dialog box.
(6) Click Search.
(7) Click Close.
6. Warm up the system for a given time to ensure that the system works
normally without abnormal noise or vibration.
Warm up the system according to the following procedure.
1) Double click
(System Setup icon) on the Windows
background screen.
