The component feeding system of Mx-Series SMD Mounter consists
of the feeder base (or trolley) or the feeder.
This section describes the configuration of feeder base and available
feeder types.
Feeder Base
• Configuration
The feeder base is designed to use various types of feeders. It can
use universal feeder
types (option) as well as the intelligent feeder developed by Mirae
Corporation.
The component feeding system of Mx-Series SMD Placement System
can be configured in a standard configuration by installing an
intelligent feeder base on the front and rear sides respectively and
mounting the Mirae intelligent feeder on each feeder base (Only the
front side is used when TF5 is mounted on the rear side.)
In addition, the component feeding system can be configured by
combining the feeder base with a tray feeder or a shuttle feeder.
• Structure
<Figure 4-5> shows the Mirae intelligent feeder base.
• Functions
Both the general feeder base and the intelligent feeder base provide
40 holes to fix a tape feeder. Therefore, 40 tape feeders of 8mm in
width can be mounted on the feeder base at the same time.
• Features
The feeder base change system shortens the work setup time and
enables on-line reel change through the tape reel feeder.
