SLR 5000 Series Front Panel
6.1
Description
The Front Panel Module is described in this section. A general description, identification of inputs and
outputs and functional theory of operation are provided. The information provided is sufficient to give
service personnel a functional understanding of the module, allowing maintenance and troubleshooting
to the module level.
6.1.1
General Description
The Front Panel board user interface includes 7 LED indicators and a USB device port. The board is
connected to the modem via a 30 pin flex cable. The LED indicators inform the user of the state of the
repeater while the USB device port is used to interface with the repeater through the Customer
Programming Software (CPS). The LED indications are transferred to the front panel via a serial
peripheral interface.
