Technical Data:
Systems with peripheral data logging (satellites) and LWL converters
In the case of great distances or electromagnetic disturbances to be expected, the optical fibre
(LWL) transfer can be used. In this case, no potential equalization between base station and the
satellite will occur either. The LWL converter changes electrical signals to optical signals, which
are no more disturbed by other electrical signals. A star-shaped network topology is compulsory,
to avoid critical values of the CAN bus capacity.
