Initial ink charge does not
start
1. Is “Maintenance cover open” displayed on LCD monitor while
Maintenance cover is closed?
• Check the connection of cover sensor Assy
connector.
• Replace cover sensor Assy .

2. Check panel FFC for proper connection at operation panel unit
Assy side and MAIN board Assy side.
• Is the panel FFC inserted obliquely?
• Is the connector securely locked?
Reconnect following connectors.

3. Is "Sen: Lever up" displayed on LCD with media set lever
lowered?
Adjust lever sensor.

when checked with specified cartridge securely inserted?
• Presense detection of ink from "Sen: Ink END"
• Presense detection of cartridge from "Ink NOT"
• Follow the steps for the message "[KCMY] No
Cartridge".
• After adjustment/replacement, execute initial ink
charge from "Adj: Input Rank" of self-diagnosis
function.

6. Is specified cartridge status judged as normal when checked
through "Sen. : Ink ID" of self-diagnosis function with specified
cartridge securely inserted?
• After adjustment/replacement, execute

7. MAIN board Assy may be damaged. • Replace MAIN board Assy .
• After replacement, execute initial ink charge
from "Adj: Input Rank" of self-diagnosis
function.

• If the part is detached, remount it.
